Saeeda Mandviwalla

As the Face of TONI&GUY Karachi Pakistan, Saeeda Mandviwalla started her career in hairdressing and beauty therapy at the prestigious London College of Fashion. As a growing teenager in London, during the late 1970´s, fashion, music and art would make the most glamorous impression and influence on this young person. She was always good with art at school, but was confused as to what to choose as a career. ´I actually picked this profession through a career guidance book…I opened it, closed my eyes and put my finger on it, that really is the story´.

Having moved to Pakistan after her marriage settling down in a new country and learning a new language was not easy, but a challenge that she met with ease. Bringing up a young family she also maintained her small business in hair and beauty only by appointments. Always very ambitious and enterprising, she continued to take courses and update her knowledge in the world of hairdressing. In December 2003, Saeeda brought to Pakistan ESSENSUALS, the sister concern of the largest British Hairdressing Company TONI&GUY, the first hairdressing franchise in the South East Asian region. The opening up of the largest state of-the-art TONI&GUY salon in 2008 in Karachi followed this.

Saeeda Mandviwalla is also a recognised Skin Expert and a key innovator in the first skin care partnership with PONDS SKIN CENTER in 2012, providing luxury spa/skin services in Pakistan.

In June 2013, Saeeda was honoured to be part of the Business Roundtable with the British Prime Minister Mr. David Cameron.

She participated at London Fashion Week in 2015 at Freemasons, the biggest and most coveted event on the international fashion calendar where she worked with the TONI&GUY Art team.

In July 2016 she was invited to the House of Lords for a round table debate on Brexit The Future and Business Opportunities for Britain in a global market place, which was hosted by the Earl Of Errol.

Saeeda is a strong believer and supporter of women empowerment and feels that as a successful person it is her responsibility to encourage women to stand up on their own and work alongside their male counterparts. She is currently working with U.K and affiliated partners to develop women’s enterprise and entrepreneurship in Pakistan.

Her goals are to keep pushing boundaries and taking it to the highest level of creativity and educating everyone into a good grooming lifestyle, whatever profession or job description they have. With that philosophy, she says she wants to give great cuts, fabulous colour, simple styling to creative maximum impact to fit into every individual lifestyle.
